Wow! Clay and I were blown away at your generous gift! I don’t know what we expected, but it was no where near to what we received. Clays favorite is the body pillow, he ooohed And aaahed for quite sometime and has used it all day long lol! I truly can not thank you and everyone at Wish upon A Teen for making Emily’s day yesterday with the amazing room makeover! She was beyond excited and slept so comfortable in her Tangled bedding cuddling her new Chewbacca doll. After having over 40 inpatient stays in the past 5 years, with multiple ones being extended stays, this was a fantastic surprise. We always try to make her room more comfortable with little comforts from home, but last night was the first time Emmy felt like she was in a “normal” bed. 😀 She also has been having the best time with the princess book that teaches you how to make the princess, she has done them over and over. This was all just so incredible and made a very unexpected stay just a little bit better! Thank you so very much, please know you all are making such a huge difference in children’s lives.

Thank you so much for all of the awesome decorations and Star Wars things to brighten up Alex’s room! He was so surprised and happy and loved everything. Being in the hospital is tough, especially when your stays are long. Having the comforts of your favorite things to brighten the room and snuggle in bed, certainly make the hard days a little easier. My mother is currently undergoing chemo for breast cancer. She’s in her 50’s and dreads her hospital stays. She believes spending time in the hospital makes her feel more sick than she really is. With every visit I think of those who have to spend long amounts of time cooped up in these rooms, my heart hurts for each and every person going through this struggle.
A couple months back I saw a teenage girl sitting on a bed as I passed through the hall to visit my mom. Her sitting there, blank walls, white robe, it stuck with me. It hurt me. Knowing you’re out there helping make life enjoyable is a true comfort.

Thank you so much for making the trip out to DC to decorate Krissy’s hospital room. The Harry Potter theme looks wonderful! Krissy has enjoyed showing it off to the hospital staff and her visitors. It has really helped to make her feel better about being stuck here for so long (88 days so far this admission). We are so grateful to Wish Upon a Teen for helping to bring a smile to a little girl who has had to endure so much. And we also want to thank all those who made donations for Krissy.
